The weather is finally warming up and the first day of spring is right around the corner, which means that Easter season is finally upon us. Woo hoo!

Easter Egg Hunt at James River Church
James River Church (all campuses) | March 30th | 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
This hunt takes place across all four convenient church locations, so whether you’re in Joplin proper, or you’re closer to Springfield, you won’t have to miss out on the fun. Even if you’re a little too old to participate, it’s still a great opportunity to volunteer at any campus to help with the event.
There will be both indoor and outdoor portions of the event, so it’s going down whether it rains or shines!
Easter Bunny’s Garden
Northpark Mall | Until March 30th | Various times
This is the perfect opportunity to have some Easter fun while you do a little shopping or have a day on the town. With tons of different timeslots seven days a week, there’s plenty of time for everyone in town to get a photo op with the Easter Bunny. Even better yet, Mondays are pet-friendly, so be sure to bring them too!
This year’s Easter Bunny display can be found inside the mall near JCPenney.
Easter Egg Hunt
Joplin Faith Assembly of God | March 30th | 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
If you’re looking for one of the best churches to go Easter egg hunting at, Faith Assembly is going all-out with a free event that includes candy, inflatables, and a hunt with prizes. According to their website, this massive hunt will have 20,000 eggs!
Market Egg Hunt
Joplin Empire Market | March 30th | 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Since spring of 2018, the Empire Market has been a hub of commerce and fun in the heart of Joplin, with tons of vendors selling homegrown produce, artisanal crafts, and much more. We can’t think of many better places for an Easter egg hunt near you!
Children and adults alike are welcome to search for dozens of hidden eggs around the market, some of which are filled with tokens and coupons that can be redeemed at the local vendors. You can also have fun decorating your very own paper eggs, and snag a photo with Willow the Bunny!
Egg My Yard!
Your Back Yard | March 29th to March 30th | Evening
Do you want to have a fun-filled Easter egg hunt at home but can’t find the time to do all the shopping? Fret not, because the Joplin Humane society has you covered. All you have to do is contact them on their website and they’ll hand deliver a treat-filled selection of eggs!
There are multiple packages available, including deliveries for 25, 50, 75, and even 100 eggs, and all proceeds go directly to caring for homeless animals at the JHS. Deliveries will occur between 8:00 and 10:00 pm the previous night.
One more thing: the deadline for order is March 15th, so don’t delay!
